Happy New Year!
We just returned home from a whirlwind trip to California to see our family and friends. While we ran at a crazy pace and did a ton, 10 days still wasn't enough time to see everyone and do everything I had hoped to accomplish. I guess I need to start planning our next trip!

My Health Coach Team |
While in California, I was able to attend a gathering with other TSFL health coaches on my team. It was a great time of visiting and sharing and encouragement. Our topic of discussion was "dreaming". Personal dreams, family dreams, business dreams. There were dreams shared for financial health, physical health, strengthened marriages, career advancement and fun bucket-list items. While people shared, it occurred to me how I tend to not give myself much permission to dream. I'm talking about the next level up from setting goals... dreams for an abundant future. As I started thinking further ahead than next month and bigger than what is right in front of me I started to catch the excitement and insight of the things that I would like to accomplish in this life. Last year at this time I had a dream of going to Hawaii and feeling confident that should a camera catch a picture of my body I would be comfortable with what I saw. That dream/goal was accomplished... but what now? What's the dream for this year? How about the next 5 years? In 15 years my kids will be out of the house... where do we want to be then?
As I sat listening to the ladies sharing, it dawned on my that only when I finally reached the 5-year cancer free mark last September have I started dreaming of a future again. Cancer has a crazy way of paralyzing the mind and stealing hope. Before that appointment I only felt I could dream a few months out at the max.... like if I dreamed too far out maybe I would jinx my future. Anyways, there has been a new freedom born in being "statistically safe" and able to hope and dream again.

So I have a couple trips planned with family and friends this year to be sure I "enjoy life". My dreams for this year include continuing the quest for "balance" in mind, body and spirit that I sought in 2016 and I want to maintain the gift of health so that I can live life to the fullest.
My husband and I are working on defining our personal and family short term and long term dreams and will be having a "family meeting" soon to hear each others desires so that together we can move toward a future. I know we will have different dreams but if we work together we can eventually get where we are going.
Do you dream?
Have you thought about what you want out of this year?
How about where you want to be in 5, 10 or 15 years?
What will you do to get there?
What do you need to change to reach those goals?
How much do you need to save up?
Whatever it is that you are searching for in life, whether it is health, relationships, fun or financial - go for it! Identify what is is that you want and start dreaming.
May 2017 be a year full of blessings and FUN!
